Abstract

"TB Langit Baja is a business that deals in the distribution of steel and other building. The firm is inextricably tied as a business with the construction industry. Historically, construction has always experienced steady increases in value year after year with growth rate always remaining above 12%. Though this fact was soon challenged by the arrival of COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. And although in recent times there has been a trend towards recovery, the sales of TB Langit Baja instead experienced a decline. There needs to be a concentrated effort in welcoming this normalization, one option that can be utilized is through the further and effective use of marketing strategies. This research uses a qualitative approach, which means that it seeks to investigate, find, describe, and elaborate upon a phenomenon, in this case a marketing strategy formulation, in a profound and in an in-depth manner. The data that is collected through FGD, observation, documentation, and survey is then analyzed using SWOT Matrix approach and STP-Marketing approach to produce strategies. The result that this research has arrived at is that the firm needs to conduct a more extensive marketing research, focusing on welders and contractors before formulating a plan to deal with them. The aim of this is to collect information about their specific needs and critical wants. The firm then should plan about how TB Langit Baja may answer upon those needs in the form of benefits. By offering more benefit relevant to their needs and wants whilst retaining the same price which is then followed by an effective implementation and actuating of said plans."
